Finance Forward Network ("we," "us," "our") runs this website to share our programs, simulations, and research. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it's handled. We're a student led organization, not a law firm, so this policy is written in plain language and isn't a substitute for legal advice.

What this website collects

This site is a static, informational website hosted on GitHub Pages. It does not have its own database and does not collect personal information directly through the pages you're reading now. We don't run our own analytics or tracking scripts on this site.

Because the site is hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub may automatically log standard technical information, like IP address and browser type, as part of serving the site. That logging is handled under GitHub's own privacy statement, not by Finance Forward Network directly.

Forms and external links

Several actions on this site, including registering for a workshop, applying for a leadership role, and taking our research survey, link out to Google Forms. When you fill out one of these forms, your responses are collected and stored by Google, not by this website directly. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for how Google handles that data.

• Workshop registration: collects the information needed to register you and communicate about the event, such as name and contact details.
• Leadership application: collects the information needed to review your application, such as name, contact details, and your responses to application questions.
• Research survey: anonymous by design. We don't ask for or collect identifying information, and responses are used only for educational and research purposes.

The Cybersecurity and Finance Simulation

Our simulation is hosted separately at financeforwardsim.netlify.app. Any data handling for the simulation is governed by that site directly. We don't sell or share simulation data with third parties for advertising.

How we use information

Where we do have access to information, for example workshop registrations or leadership applications, we use it only to:

• Run and communicate about our workshops and events
• Review and follow up on leadership applications
• Improve our programs based on aggregated, non identifying research findings

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies

This site does not set its own tracking or advertising cookies. Google Forms and GitHub Pages may set cookies as part of their own services. See their respective privacy policies for details.

Children's privacy

Finance Forward Network's programs are built for a teen audience. We ask that anyone under 13 get a parent or guardian's permission before submitting any form on this site or through our partner tools.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our programs grow. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
